21.6 east,16 east,10 east & 7 east Some feeds intended for rebroadcast are on reduced power & require the same as they use at the Cable Head Ends & Satellite Dish Farms used by the major broadcasters that is 240 to 500cm dish.

Please when requesting feed reception details state the following,
Your location,
The dish size you are using,
Your satellite receiver,

As this will help anyone helping you to give you a more accurate response,

Please do not pm me with questions that can be answered in open forum.

Satellites with no regular Ku band transmission have been removed from this list,
This is just a guide some transmissions may require a larger dish depending on your location,
For example ESPN & MSNBC are a lot weaker than 3 years ago @ 15 west,
Also remember if you are after feeds these are sometimes a lot weaker & require a larger dish.

I’m still quite new to this, and still trying to understand everything.

If you don’t mind me asking, how do you calculate the sizes. For example I’ve been using lyngsat and satbeams, and they give sizes of 55cm for UK for 52east.

I’m just erring on the side of caution at the moment, as I don’t want to buy a dish and then discover that it’s too small.

You have not mentioned where you are in Europe ?
When asking reception questions it is a good idea to give your location,

As for the dish size comparison with flysat ect as 52 east is at the end of my satellite arc with a smaller dish I will loose the signals when it rains or snows.

Thanks, I’m based in the West Midlands, UK.

When you mean at the end of the arc, does that mean as you have calibrated the motorised dish to 1W, it loses the optimal position the further you go away from 1W?

Not quite when the sky is clear I get good Ku band satellite signals from 53 east to 58 west,

But when it rains or there is a lot of moisture in the air the signals at the end of the arc are reduced in strength so with a small dish you will loose these signals,

There are no useful tv transmission these days past 30 west sad to say as these satellites mainly broadcast data 34.5 to 58 west,

There are some C band passed 34.5 west but you will need a C band Lnb & a larger dish 120cm to 240cm

Thanks mate, for the biss feeds at 10e. Do you have any idea if a 97cm/100cm dish would be suitable, or would I need to go bigger?

I get most of the feeds on 10E with a OP Gibertini 100 XP+ Inverto Black Ultra 0.2,
That I have modified by sawing 2 inches off the LNB Arm :thum:
This improved my reception as the arm was not the correct one for my dish

100cm dish test:-

Well I thought my OP Gibertini 100 XP was better than some of the dishes I have tried over the years,

These included a 100cm Andrews & 100cm Orbital,

The Gibertini performed best over the 10.7 to 12.75 Ku band with a Smart Single Universal LNB Titanium Edition; 0.1 dB, Diameter 40 mm

That was a few years ago I have since tried several other Lnb's the best was the Inverto Black Ultra 0.2,
I took a photo of the Gibby with the IBU & the comments came back that I had the Lnb too far forward in the Lnb holder well it worked for me so I left it,

Then a few days ago some Lnb tests with a couple of Lnb caught my eye so I tried them on the Gibby & they did not work very well ?

This was the Golden Media 201+ & the Inverto Premium PLL,

So I thought back about the Lnb position & decided to saw 23mm off the end of the Lnb Arm  then bolt the Lnb holder back on well if it did not work I could always add the sawn bit back on ,

But to my astonishment the new Lnb's performed very well.

Signals that were not there before now boomed in,

I then put the Inverto black ultra back on but this time much further back in the Lnb holder & the signals were vastly improved also the rain fade was less as the Lnb was getting more signal in its new position on the shortened Lnb arm.

I have read previous reports on line of Gibertini dishes being supplied with the incorrect feed arm for the reflector size.

Well at least I got my Lnb Arm sorted :thum:
