Vision247 has chosen Dubai as the hub for its MENA operations, where the company will target operators and ISP’s who require solutions for the delivery of IPTV.

According to the company, the market is being driven by three factors: Regulatory support for ‘over the top’ (OTT) delivery of video; Roll out of fast broadband to the home and the development of 4G mobile phone networks. This enables fixed line and mobile operators in the region to deploy new IP-based television and video services to the home, the mobile phone and the tablet.

Tanya Vidmar, managing director MENA, Vision247 says: “Perception (Vision247′s multi-screen IPTV platform – ed) offers a single platform enabling operators to quickly roll out new television and video services to their customers. A strong wired and wireless infrastructure combined with investment pedigree gives Dubai the capacity to become the major hub for IPTV services throughout the Middle East.”

Vision247 works closely with content owners across the Middle East, including Al Majd Holy Qur’an, Al-Sira, Al Majd Al Hadith al Nabawi, Al Nas TV and the Iqraa channels, to deliver a mix of cultural and religious programming in both Arabic and English.
