Virgin# Media exec: Faster broadband means better broadband

Virgin Media# is calling on other providers to publish broadband speed details.
A high-ranking Virgin Media official has said consumers across the UK deserve superfast broadband services which they can trust.
Jon# James, executive director of broadband for Virgin Media, said it is not fair some people in the country are paying for superfast services but not receiving the speeds they have signed up for.
"Faster# broadband means better broadband, whether you're surfing the web, watching TV online or downloading music and UK consumers deserve superfast broadband they can trust," he explained.
Mr# James went on to back Virgin Media's newly-launched Stop the Broadband Con campaign, which encourages consumers to complain about misleading advertising which has resulted in them receiving an unexpectedly poor service.
Virgin# Media has pledged to publish the details of its own broadband speeds each month and is asking competitors to follow its lead in providing honest information to customers so they can make an informed decision about which provider to choose#.
