Update without losing cam files.

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to ask if it was possible that i could update my ipbox 9000 without having to find and install the cam emulator and files again.

Usually i do a flash with a usb wire from my pc, when i need to update.
But this deletes everything on the box which is what i dont want

What many of us do is backup the var directory by ftp copy and paste to the computer desktop. Then you can transfer the relevant bits back /var/bin /var/etc/oscam /var/keys or whatever back by ftp client once you have reinstalled the new image.

I have now successfully updated the box to a new version and then copied the necessary files. And it all worked, thanks.
