Ultimate Dog Tease, a YouTube video featuring an incredible talking pooch (sort of), is rapidly approaching 5million views on the site after being passed around by web users enraptured by the canine's anthropomorphic angst at the lack of bacon in his owner's fridge.
The minute-long video charts the dog's comic devastation as his owner teases him with the news that he's snaffled all of his favourite type ('the maple kind') of bacon.
Worse news then comes as it emerges the pooch's feline house buddy has also been getting in on the good stuff (while our canine friend has been off doing other things, presumably).
With the straightforward caption 'Dogs... Love.... Food', the clip was uploaded to YouTube on May 1 and has racked up 4,996,646 views, 51,631 'likes' and 489 'dislikes' in the five days since then.
