TVP eyes channel launches

The Polish public broadcaster TVP will take part in the tender for frequencies on the country’s first DTT multiplex, with a view to launching a kids channel.
The news was given by its president Juliusz Braun, quoted in Wirtualne Media, who added that it may also apply for a licence to operate a movie channel on the multiplex, though this was unlikely.
TVP’s additional plans for this year include the launch of the new thematic channels TVP Dokument and TVP Rozrywka, as well as a new TVP Info and regional stations.
