TVP considers future strategy

The Polish public broadcaster TVP is set to adopt a strategy that will focus on such areas as the provision of audiovisual services over the internet.
However, at the same time, its activities will become less commercial in nature, with a growing dependence on public financing.
In a statement, TVP says that its supervisory board has met to discuss strategy in the period 2012-15, which was accepted by the TVP board at the end of January this year.
The objectives laid out in the strategy include the creation of high quality content, the provision of content across all platforms, though particularly DTT and making its flagships channels TVP1 and TVP2 available in HD.
Public funds currently account for only 10% of TVP’s revenues.
