TV4 Play launched on the iPad

TV4’s catch-up TV service, TV4 Play, is now available on the iPad. The Swedish commercial broadcaster is already on the iPhone, Android devices, and Samsung and LG smart TVs.
“Our vision is to create a platform independent television offering and provide our viewers the ability to share content wherever they choose. Today there is great demand for iPad applications. In short, we believe that our entire range will go more towards platform-neutral offerings,” said Cecilia Beck-Friis, director, TV4 Digital Media.
TV4 Play runs on a combination of free and paid for content. Viewers can access much of the content from the TV4 channel family free-of-charge for seven days after the original transmission. TV4 Play Premium offers additional content, including exclusive previews and archive material, commercial free.
