TV props up Belgacom voice revenues

Belgacom increased its TV subscriber base in the last quarter as revenues in both mobile and fixed line telephony continued to come under pressure.
The Belgian telco increased TV customers by 16,000 to reach 1,428,000.
Of these 245,000 were multiple streams. ARPU grew by 5.7% year on year to reach €18.60, boosted by a price increase on set-top boxes.
Second quarter TV revenue grew by 15.3% to €66 million.
The mobile customer base increased by 11,000, bit suffered a 19.8% year-on-year revenue decline.
Fixed line revenue fell by 18.3%.
