Tricolor TV sets the pace

The leader Russian DTH platform Tricolor TV ended 2011 with 9.5 million subscribers, or 31% more than a year earlier.
According to AKTR and Tass Telekom, around 7.5 million were paying customers and its total viewership amounted to almost 30 million people, or around one fifth of the population.
The number of Tricolor TV subscribers using value added services grew by 56% in 2011 and the share of these services in the platform’s total income rose from 7% to 11%.
The latter is projected to increase to 15% this year, while the subscriber total is expected to grow by around 30%.
