Hello

Is there any way to do a complete factory reset and memory clear of a TM5402 Mk3?

I have a problem with PVU keys and have screwed up my receiver, and doing a factory reset or installing older firmware does not clear the key memory.

Thanks

Problem is you need to take note of PowerVu keys you have stored already if you can and back up your channel list too onto USB stick
then you can flash with older previous Phantom Patch
Any of these should do the trick => http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=190616&page=4

once you have put old patch on the PowerVu keys will all be earsed better than any factory reset .
then once okay just put the patch your using at the min back in and insert all the keys you need again manually
thats why its easier to try back up channel list and powerVU Keys i use notepad++ to type out all keys i have then i can save as text file so that if same thing happens again it takes only few mins to resolve and insert keys .

Good luck : )

So if I install an older patch, then re-install the latest (12/10/15) then it should over-write my keys, is that right?

I have no idea if they key data I have now is correct anyway so no point making a note of them all!

Thanks

Yes this is very much correct use a very old patch maybbe from March this year or older if u like
then once completed and your happy put back on latest patch which is (12/10/15) .
Your problem will be solved but you will need to manually add a lot of PVU keys again however but they are all there in keys powerVU section/s anyhow .
if u need further help please write back here again : ))

Oh dear. I installed 109p, then re-installed 139p (latest) and it gets to 93%....and freezes....

I suspect I have a bricked TM5042 coming up..

[EDIT]

It actually worked OK but it still has the key data in.
It I have a key, e.g. AB CD EF 12 34 56 78, then do I go into CAS Menu, select a PVU entry, and then enter 00 AB CD EF 12 34 56 78

I dont understand the Ident or key data stuff??

Thanks :)

Good its still okay ..

MENU > CAS MENU > Scroll to about line 94 [ HERE IS Where PowerVU Keys should be found ]

on my box its slot 94 - slot 116

CAS < Powervu
IDENT is FREQUENCY or Transponder of your Channels
then
00 key -> AD CD EF etc..
01 key -> AD CD EF etc..

you press okay button when your at the line directly opposite key 00
then you have Keys Pad up and now you can enter your keys

same also applies for Key01

When done just Exit Save Changes ? = YES & okay button .

try channel for that freq/TP and it'll work .
any questions ask away ..

cheers !
