TalkTalk says its TV service is now the fastest growing in the UK.
Bolstered by the YouView on demand platform, the UK telco has seen another 167,000 TV customers sign up in the second quarter to reach an installed base of 557,000. The company is anticipating that it will reach the one million mark within the next six months.
“Our financial performance in the first half reflects the investment we are making in growth. Sustainable revenue growth, a scale TV business and our proven ability to simplify the business to improve our customers’ experience will create a more profitable business,” said Dido Harding, chief executive, TalkTalk.
Total revenues increased by 1.8% to £843 million, first-half EBITDA of £76 million fell from £147 million after an £86 million in scaling new products.
