Magyar Telekom’s T-Home interactive TV service saw its subscriber total rise above 280,000 during the London Olympic Games, when it was made available on a national level.
Furthermore, technical developments allowed more than 460,000 T-Home customers to follow Olympic broadcasts in HD quality.
T-Home developed a special London interactive application, available for no extra charge, during the Games.
Available through – amongst others – the Archive TV function, it was started from about 50,000 set-top boxes.
Furthermore, customers clicked almost 80,000 times on the application’s pages.
Magyar Telekom has operated an IPTV service since November 2006. More recently, it launched a service known as Interactive Sat TV last December.
Its interactive TV subscriber total already stood at over 250,000 as of March this year.
