A suspected burglar being chased from the scene of a crime fell down a 30ft well – and dialled 999 for paramedics himself.

The 21-year-old spent two hours down the hole in Boothtown, Yorkshire, in the early hours of the morning before being rescued by firefighters – and promptly arrested.
Earlier, police had received reports of a break-in from locals, who said that the suspect was being pursued.
In the darkness he fell down a 5ft-wide hole, where he called the emergency services.
Inspector David Whitehouse of West Yorkshire Police said: 'It would appear that the man who fell down the well was one of the burglars who was fleeing the scene.
'He was chased by a neighbour, climbed a small wall, dropped down a banking approximately 20ft before falling down a 30ft-deep well.
'The well, it would appear, was uncovered and hidden from view to the fleeing suspect.'
The man, from Halifax, was treated at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for a minor back injury.
