Sky opens new Irish customer centre
January 21, 2013 11.25 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Sky’s new Irish base has been officially opened by Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

The new operations centre at Burlington Plaza is part of a commitment by Sky to invest in its Irish business. The new facility will include the 800 staff currently being recruited for its customer contact centre.

”The launch of our new site in Dublin marks a very significant day for Sky’s Irish business. Ireland has been a great market for Sky. We’ve been here from the very start, growing to become the most popular provider of TV in the country,” said Sky chief executive Jeremy Darroch. “For the first time, we will have a dedicated presence on-the-ground to support this growth”.

The new Dublin site is Sky’s tenth customer service centre, joining other Sky sites across the UK.

Sky will soon introduce broadband and home phone services for Irish customers.
