Sky-D losses fall as subs climb

Sky Deutschland has added several hundred thousand new subscribers that have contributed to a significant reduction in the paycaster’s losses.
In preliminary results the Munich-based company says it expects its 2012 results to come in between €48 and €58 million – compared to €155 million in the previous year.
Recently published subscriber numbers show that an additional 351,000 subscribers have been added over the last 12 months to reach 3.363 million.
ARPU, the per subscriber revenue measure, rose to €32.70 euros from €31.29 in 2011.
Details have also been reached on a new share prospectus to existing shareholders offer its existing shareholders up to 20.4 million new shares from authorized capital, to raise gross proceeds of up to €91 million.
The company is scheduled to release its full annual results on February 28.
