Romtelecom loses key executive

George Makowski has today (August 1) vacated the position of executive commercial director for the business segment at Romtelecom.
According to the company, his position will be “temporarily covered by internal resources” until a replacement is found.
Makowski, who leaves following the expiry of his contract, was with the Romanian incumbent telco for five years.
During that time, he saw the company build up its TV business, launching DTH and IPTV platforms, both of which use the Dolce brand, and re-entering the cable market through its subsidiary NextGen Communications.
