Romanian TV fraud reports dismissed

The Bucharest Tribunal Prosecutor has issued a statement saying that searches made in the city and Ilfov county over money laundering and tax evasion did not target Adrian Sarbu or Pro TV.
According to Mediafax, this follows reports in the local media that both Sarbu, and the former head of CME, and Pro TV, which is part of the CME group, were under investigation.
Sarbu dismissed the reports as “unreal”.
The Prosecutor says that the tax evasion could have amounted to RON5.4 million (€1.2 million) and laundered money about RON23 million.
