Romtelecom, new offices 2011Romtelecom says there is a high probability that it will stop broadcasting Pro TV’s 11 channels, which include MTV Romania and VH1, on its platforms on January 3.
It adds that talks with Pro TV have been taking place for a few months, with the telco “negotiating in good faith with its partner, trying to protect the customers’ financial interests of paying a reasonable subscription.”
During the talks, CME-backed Pro TV “asked Romtelecom for a significant price increase in order to broadcast the 11 TV channels.”
Romtelecom also says that should the channels be withdrawn, it will offer its subscribers “additional top quality channels”.
