RCS&RDS seeks more subscribers

The leading Romanian cable and DTH operator RCS&RDS has launched a marketing campaign designed to attract new customers in the face of strong competition from UPC Romania and Romtelecom.
According to ZF, it uses the slogan “100% entertainment, 50% discount on subscription” and offers 50% reductions for periods of six or 12 months.
Given that RCS&RDS currently has 1.6 million cable TV and 1.1 million internet subscribers, there is the potential for the company to gain up to 500,000 more of the latter through the promotion.
The total number of viewers currently receiving RCS&RDS cable and satellite TV services stands at around 3 million.
