Polish telco grows DTH base

The Polish incumbent telco TP ended 2011 with 636,000 subscribers to its TV services, or 17% more than a year earlier.
Of these, 527,000 (428,000) received its DTH and 110,000 (115,000) IPTV offers.
A total of 139,000 customers received pay-TV packages, with n claiming 24,000 customers.
TP also had a total of 2,346,000 fixed-line broadband customers at the end of 2011, up from 2,286,000 a year earlier.
Its VoIP client base meanwhile stood at 165,000 (137,000).
ARPU for broadband and TV in Q4 2011 stood at PLN53.4 (€12.8), down from PLN56.7 in Q4 2010.
TP’s total revenue in 2011 slipped by 4.1% to PLN14,922 million. EBITDA stood at PLN5,928 million (+28%) and net income PLN1,918 million (+35.2x).
