Polish mobile TV operator seeks partners
08.15 Europe/London, August 8, 2011 By Chris Dziadul

The Polish company NFI Magna Polonia is still looking for partners to help run its mobile TV service, according to Jaroslaw Mikos, the company’s new president.

Speaking to Parkiet, he added that Info-TV-FM, the subsidiary operating the service, is essentially a transmission company and will continue only in this role as it has no experience in launching new TV channels or aggregating content.

He added that he expects Info-TV-FM’s revenues to be 10% higher this year than they were in 2010, when they amounted to PLN10 million (€2.46 million), with EBITDA growing by a similar amount.

He also said that its net profit is also likely to be significantly more than the PLN70,000 posted in 2010.

One company that has been already identified as a potential mobile TV partner for Info-TV-FM is Spain’s EMTE Sistemas.

Info-TV-FM was awarded a licence to operate a national mobile TV network by Poland’s Office of Electronic Communication (UKE) in 2009.
