Platinum Records, the Dubai record label operating under the umbrella of the MBC Group, reached a social media milestone recently when its videos were rated among the most watched on YouTube in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Jordan.

In Saudi Arabia, Platinum videos were the top four of the 20 most viewed YouTube videos: Hala Al Turk feat. Mashael “Bnayti Al Habouba”; Hala Al Turk “Baba Nezel Maashah”; Qusai “Yalla”; and Mashael “Baghazelah”.

In the UAE, Platinum took two of the top four positions: Hala Al Turk with Mashael “Bnayti Al Habouba” and Hala Al Turk “Baba Nezel Maashah".

In Yemen, three of the channel’s most popular songs as mentioned above, took three positions in the top 20 chart. And finally, in Jordan, Qusai’s “Yalla” song took third place, in addition to having Hani Mitwasi’s “Ya Mohra” at number 4 and Hala Turk’s video with Mashaal “Bnayti Al Habouba” at number 20.

George Haikal, Platinum Records marketing manager, said: “The Platinum Records brand is just five years old, but it has quickly positioned itself as the region’s leader in creating stars. The company’s presence on YouTube has grown since the launch of Platinum Records YouTube Channel back in September 2008. We ensure that our channel’s fans watch only the latest in music videos and broadcast in full HD. Having our content ranked among YouTube’s top 20 most watched in the region definitely translates into a social media milestone and a growing fan base.”
