Running a NewEnigma2 image _v4.0.8 on my DM800hdse and find that its asking me if I wish to update my firmware, anyone know if this is normal behavior and its ok to press "Yes" to update?

you can disable automatic update check in settings if you like.The new vesion is out,so you can update it,

name of the image is newnigma.

yes, its normal. feel free to update. should be update your image to 4.0.9. save your settings with the configurationsaver befor.

Concerning my box DM800se clone when I did do the update. my box didn't boot properly and I had to reflash it again.. I think the update is for use for genuine box only? correct me if iam wrong mate

you are right. update is only for genuine boxes, but i cant see that @Bluesweeper says that its a clon box.

Thanks Folks, Sunray clone here .had a suspicion that it was for genuine boxes..Maybe I will just try test another image altogether now. or disable tY

blue button...newnigma2 services...system tools...sytem settings

there you can disable that the box search for updates.

Was curious to see what the Newnigma2 v4.0.9 was like so I tried to update to the full image but no good, I got an "R01: No CA found". I also tried the lean image but got the same result. I didnt try using the maintenance port to update but have gone back to NE2 v4.0.8. Anyone else seen this issue? ****> Sunray dm800hdse

just spotted I dont gave the cccam info when I press the blue button, the one that tells you the cccam status , servers , shares etc..just like on port 16001 ... anyone know the package to install? ive forgotten what it was

If I am understanding you correctly...download it from ....Blue Button...Newnigma services....manage additional software....online installer.....add/remove plugins....then look for enigma2-plugin-extensions-cccaminfo.Downloaded and reboot.
