NEWCAMD Setup IPBOX 9000

Hi All,

Need some info on how to setup NEWCAMD

been trying to add a few so called "free servers" however i am a tad confused on how to set it all up i know incubus supports NEWCAMD but i can't get it to work after editing the lines.

However i learned that MGCAMD supports NEWCAMD and that when you start the cam it looks for the newcamd.list file under /var/keys

i've re-edited that file (newcamd.list) under /var/keys i.e the two CWS lines as follows

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS = 62.141.*.* 1576 user pass BA 2C D3 43 75 C2 E9 28 09 11 F5 1D A3 57
CWS = 62.141.*.* 1676 user pass BA 2C D3 43 75 C2 E9 28 09 11 F5 1D A3 57

User pass has been taken out for obvious reasons


and started MGCAMD and tuned to hotbird however nothing happens i've got incubus working with CCCAM but just can't get newcamd working can someone please explain to me what i need to do set up newcamd as "CLIENT" only please

should i use incubus and do provider 00ff? or provider 0501 or just re-edit the newcamd.list file and that's it.

Sorry for sounding confusing! lol

Try like this ;it works for me! It is a list file!

CWS = dummy dummy 10001 pass pass 23021544 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan cardserver

Dosn't seem to work my friend, can you please take me through it step by step i've got 3 files under /var/keys

newcamd newcamd1 newcamd2 i've re-edited the newcamd file as follows

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300

i then pointed the dish towards hotbird and started mgcamd the above are supooced to clear dorcel etc. but dont seem to work so i am not sure where i am going wrong. Ok granted they are free servers so prob busy but one is bound to work right?

what is the 23021544 for?

If you are using mgcamd like newcamd client, you should have mg_cfg file in /var/keys. Make sure that in that file you have set G: { 01 } - that means that mgcamd will work like newcamd client.
The second file that you need is also in /var/keys - newcamd.list - you put there your CWS lines.
To check that you are connected to your servers look at the following files while mgcamd is running, in telnet type:

cat /tmp/mgshare.info - to check if peer is online
cat /tmp/mgstat.info - to check ECM/EMM in/out

PS. Dont expect to clear many channels. There is no such thing as *free* cardserver.

im also watching cos its all new to me .
im not getting out worth watching in my ip9000 at the mo.on any sats nay mind one.

once out of several attemps i managed to type cat /tmp/mgshare.info and see i was not connected after that whenever i type this nothing happends.
is it because newcamd is not running?

edit your /var/keys/mg_cfg
with
G: { 01 }
P: { 02 }
if you are on nlb image
copy mg_cfg from /data to /var/keys

add you server to
/var/keys/newcamd.list

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS = ipSERVER PORT user pass DESKEY


restart emu ,from panel; green button

try also to run mgcamd from telnet to verify that server is on;

not newcamd ,but mgcamd
1-stop any running emu from panel.
2-telnet to your box; you can use program "PuTTY" .
3-cd /data or cd /var/bin
and
./mgcamd

Hallo,
I have the same problem.The mg_cfg and the newcamd.list are set as told above. This is what i get the:
mgshare Info
newcamd route 0000:ip9000:127.0.0.1:32100:newcs EMM ON online
newcamd route 0000:ip9002:127.0.0.1:32101:newcs EMM ON online
newcamd route 0000:password:xx.xx.xxx.xx:port:unknown EMM OFF offline.
Ihave also the ipbox 9000 with the last nlb image.
Is there a way to test the settings with a"dummy"cs server?

new to ipbox hd

i´m running vodka image on my ipbox 9000dh.
just added mgcamd klient in var/keys.
i can get through and i can not recieve picture on the tv.
any solution guys...
