Hello,

I know all ports of an internet provider must be open in order to share as a dreambox server. But what about the client. I'm willing to change of internet provider in order to have more download speed. But in comparisson to my actual provider all ports are closed at the new provider.

I'm wondering if I can still use my dreambox as a client to watch channels ? Knowing that all ports are closed. Will it work ? I'm asking this before making any change. Some people in the same situation ?

Cheerio,
J

yes it will be just fine you just need to open ports in your router in order to share as server but not as client .
infact i am totally certain of this fact as i have tested this and ports are not required in order to recieve shares from c/s servers .

cheers .
