Naspers increases pay TV base

African pay TV operator Naspers ended September with 4.3 million DStv subscribers in South Africa, up from 3.7 million a year earlier.
Revenue from pay TV operations in South Africa was up 16% at the end of September to ZAR11.5 billion (€1 billion).
The company, which has pay TV operations in 48 countries in Africa, ended the second quarter with a total of six million subscribers. Revenue from operations outside South Africa increased by 14% to ZAR439 million.
