Ly'cos enters online TV market

Ly'cos, in partnership with Kewego, has announced the launch of its new online video service, JubiiTV at tv.ju'bii.c'o.u'k.

The video platform is integrated into existing Jubii sites allowing access to Ly'cos’ 44 million internet surfers who can exchange, share and view videos in their native language. Jubii is an advanced social community site created by Ly'cos, which evolved out of its email and mess'aging services.

The French and English video platforms are accessible through the Ly'cos.fr and Ly'cos.co.uk homepages and will soon be replicated in German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.

Jeremie Clevy, managing director of Ly'cos France, said: "Development of this solution was entrusted to Kewego, the video leader in Europe. We wanted a player of stature capable of deploying video platforms in any European language in record time. Kewego’s reputation and know-how in this area stands unchallenged; more than 100 major name companies in several European countries have already partnered with Kewego."

Originally founded in France, Kewego already provides online video platforms to major brands across Europe including T-Online and Orange (Spain) and has served over 75 million videos to 8.7 million users in the last month.

John Gillespie, UK commercial director of Kewego, said: "We offer media and content owners a new way of working with online video and we are proud to add the Ly'cos group to our network of partners. Kewego is about monetising online video in a simple and straightforward way and the JubiiTV launch is a perfect example of this in practice."
