Lovefilm makes iPad debut

Lovefilm has announced the introduction of its own app for the iPad – the day its parent Amazon announced the launch of a rival to the Apple device. The new app allows users to watch, pause, fast-forward and rewind their movie stream, view trailers and add to their DVD rental list on the go.
“Lovefilm’s debut on iPad is a huge win for our customers as the latest platform to support the service. This is a huge leap in movie watching for the 21st Century – making Lovefilm more portable than ever before”, said Simon Calver, CEO of Lovefilm. “
Subscribers will be able to link their accounts to the iPad app with no extra charge to customers paying £5.99 a month or more.
No date has been announced as to when Amazon Kindle Fire will be available in Europe.
