Library’s rules get personal

Not everyone takes kindly to women who breastfeed in public...

A mother breastfeeding her eight-week-old daughter was ordered to face the wall by a library worker who said he was concerned she would “offend others”.
Ayala Ochert, 38, was feeding baby Nina in St Ann’s Library in Haringey, North London, when she was told to be “more discreet”.
The mother-of-two, a member of Haringey Breastfeeding Campaign, pointed out only one other woman “who was pregnant” was in the library at the time. “It was insulting,” she said.
Haringey council said: “For mothers who would like private space to breastfeed, we will always try to accommodate their request”. - Daily Mail
