KPN signs multiple FOX deals
August 5, 2013 07.42 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Fox Sports EredivisieDutch incumbent KPN has signed carriage agreements for all of the new Dutch FOX channels on its two TV platforms, KPN iTV and KPN Digitenne.

The announcement follows earlier distribution deals between Eredivisie Media & Marketing (EMM) and Ziggo, UPC, Canal Digitaal Satelliet and smaller operators such as Delta kabel.

The KPN deal adds another potential 1.9 million households to the FOX footprint. The operator is the last of the main platforms to sign a distribution agreement with the FOX channels. As a result, the FOX channels will now have almost nationwide coverage.

FOX Sports Eredivisie has replaced the Eredivsie Live football channels and costs €17.50 monthly for subscribers to KPN iTV, the IPT service and €12.50 for subscribers to DTT service KPN Digitenne.

FOX Sports International will also be offered to KPN subscribers, bit as a stand-alone product and in combo with FOX Sports Eredivisie.

The new contract also calls for the new free-to-view Dutch FOX channel to be distributed in the basic tiers of the two KPN TV product.
