Turner Broadcasting has appointed Jamie Friend to the newly created role of VP corporate strategy and insights for its EMEA business.
In his new role, he will report directly to Peter Flamman, SVP COO Turner EMEA and be based at the international head offices in London.
His responsibilities will include identifying internal and external growth opportunities, as well as providing vital support for the resulting investment.
Friend has joined Turner from Arqiva, where he was head of strategy for digital platforms.
He also previously held roles at The Walt Disney Company and CSMG ADVENTIS.
Commenting on the appointment, Flamman said: “This is a very important role for the growth our business. Jamie brings great industry experience and knowledge across a wide range of European markets in industry leading blue chip environments. I am certain he will be a tremendous asset to our team and business going forward.”
