Canal+ is set to invest EUR120 million into its recently acquired free-to-air channel Direct 8, according to local press reports in order to turn it into a higher profile channel.
French press also reports that Al Jazeera has so far pumped EUR330 million of sports rights into its French sports channels BeIn Sport.
Euronews has become available on the Eastlink network in Canada as part of the “World News” package. The news channel is already available in Canada on various cable and IPTV platforms, Rogers, Cogeco, Videotron, Shaw, Telus, Ethnic Channel.
