Help needed with DM8000

hi guys

need some help and advice please,

tried flashing a dm8000 via LAN recently and now it just boots up to the STOP screen showing IP, even if the down button isnt pressed, also unable to flash via browser, i have tried firebox, IE and chrome but no joy

could someone tell me if its possible to flash it via USB?

also i would be greatful if someone could point in me the right direction where i can get a backup image, which has 2.1.4 or 2.2.1 pre installed with or without a UK channel list

have you got a null modem cable try that with dreamup and the ethernet cable make sure you tick the use network box

Nope well i have the cable but no serial port on laptop

did try a usb to serial convertor cable but no joy with drivers

there was some drivers on the forum for a usb to null modem cable if I remember correctly
