The “Glonass-M” №44, designed by the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems“, was delivered to Baikonur on the September 26th.
Navigation satellites “Glonass-M” № 44, № 43 and №45 will be carried into orbit simultaneously. The launch is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2011 and will be implemented by carrier-rocket “Proton–M” and “Briz-M” upper stage.
Currently “Glonass-M” № 43 is under prelaunch works on Baikonur cosmodrome. “Glonasss-M” №45 is currently on conservation in JSC”ISS” and will be delivered to the cosmodrome at the 3th of October.
“Glonass-M” spacecrafts are manufactured and designed in the network of Federal Program "Global Navigation System." They are designed to provide the unconditioned number of foreign and domestic users with satellite navigation service. JSC”ISS” - the only Russian company that produces satellites for the GLONASS system.
