From ecstasy pills to lizard faeces - these five weird collections are proof that one person's rubbish truly is another's treasure.

One collector amassed over 2,400 ecstasy tablets
McDonald's Happy Meal Toys
55-year-old Kelvin Baines began his collection in the Eighties and has managed to amass a record-breaking 7,500 Happy Meal toys through the years.
Unfortunately for Baines, it seems that nobody shares his passion for plastic Happy Meal perfection, with the collection failing to pick up a single bid upon being put up for auction.
Watering cans
Lorry driver Ken Strickland sacrificed an entire floor of his house to his collection of over 3,000 watering cans - before leaving the lot to his niece in his will.
His antics even earned him the nickname 'Watering Can Man'. His niece, upon receiving the collection, stated : '‘He did not have a favourite, he just loved them all.'
Bananas
Banana-mad Ken Bannister runs the 'Banana Museum' - a collection of over 17,000 banana-related items.
The World was shocked earlier this year when it was announced that the Guinness Records-approved museum would be closing, only to breathe a collective sigh of relief when a local businessman stepped in to save the day with a generous £30,000 donation.
Ecstasy pills
A 46-year-old Dutch man collected over 2,400 of the illegal pills over a 20 year period, though was forced to report his collection to the police after they were stolen during a break-in.
Despite the illegal nature of his antics, a police spokeswoman stated that he would not be formally charged for possession, adding: ''Why would you make something like this up?'
Lizard faeces
A 35kg collection of lizard poo was collected by Leeds University student Daniel Bennett, during the course of five years' study in the Philippines. Unfortunately, the collection was cleared away during a routine clear-out of the University laboratory.
'Whether it was the largest collection of lizard sh** in the world is uncertain' Bennett stated.
'Its loss left me reeling and altered the course of my life forever.'
