July 16, 2012 09.37 Europe/London By Robert Briel

The Dutch premium football channel Eredivisie Live is launching its TV everywhere app on August in conjunction with the country’s largest cable operator Ziggo. Called Eredivisie Live Go, it will give viewers access to all live matches everywhere.

Eredivisie Live Go will make all live and on-demand programming from the channel available on tablets (both iPads and Android), smartphones (iPhone and Android), as well as on Macs, PCs and laptops. Subscribers to the channel who are Ziggo customers will receive the new service automatically.

Arno de Jong, director of media and marketing at Eredivisie Live, said: “Eredivisie Live is more than just TV. We offer top football live on every platform; that is what our subscribers want. Eredivisie Live Go is now available to Ziggo subscribers with a subscription and they can access the live football channel anytime and anywhere. Whether at home, visiting or traveling: Eredivisie Live Go brings extensive live football on TV, computer, tablet or mobile.”

Marcel Nijhoff, commercial director of Ziggo. added: “The introduction of Eredivisie Live Go fits perfectly with our ‘TV everywhere’ strategy. After the introduction of our Ziggo TV app, HBO and HBO Go app, Eredivisie Live Go is the next step. Our customers are now the first in the Netherlands to also enjoy Eredivisie Live on their tablet, smartphone or PC.”
