I do not know where should I place this thread. This was best of I can figure out. Please move to proper seccion if this is out of place. Thanks.
I want to know if we have users of Enigma 2 that knows how it is build, I guess how to port to new device. What is needed?
If I build for Linux PC,
1) I go to github,
2) clone a repo,
3) make install
4) at the end enigma2 run ontop of Linux. just as any other Dvb application.
So if I try to imagine what is needed, then I guess I need kernel sources with drivers for the device. Normally on Linux/Android we do not get open sources for drivers. Instead drivers are binary blobs with extra firmware that need to be compiled for a specific kernel.
I suspect an Enigma 2 will require similar approach.
