DVB S2 versus DVB S2X tuner

Hi all,

Found my Mutant hd51 4K again, and want to try it. tryed to search for dutch channels on the 23.5 without luck.
Just found out ther is a new tuner DVB-S2X. Do i need this one for the dutch channels or the dvb-S2 will still do ?
It only finds 21 channels but none of them are dutch.

Do you have the option to do a blind scan on your receiver? Maybe your image is old and the transponders have changed frequency. The other option is to download the latest settings list (channel list) from the plugins menu.

Not yet ,never used it becuz it was not nessesary. I will download and try.

What i already did was automatic scan and a little manual scan (did not help). Downloaded new satelites.xml and the henk settings list 19.2+23.5.
Still no luck.
My image is OpenPLI 8.3 (27-09-2022) updated 14-05-2023.
realigned my dish this morning pointed at the 23.5 . Result :SNR: 78% or 15.6 dB AGC: 0% and BER: 0 (Is okay isn't it?)
The only working channel from the 21 is QVCZWEI UHD.

I just tried blind scan. Got the following message "it seems that this manufacturer does not support blind scan for this tuner"

Oh dear ! I just noticed that no channels are found at all on the 19.2 before realighning it did.
What does this have to do with? LNB set incorrectly perhaps? well, not important yet I need the 23.5.

Just downloaded the DISEqC tester and let it run a complete test.
Every test failed ;(
Now I don't know anymore.. it seems i go deeper and deeper.

Your dish is set to 19.2E, adjust it to 23.5E

Thank u for your answer aswell, but isn't that strange. because i used the only channel that worked namely QVCZWEI UHD on SES ASTRA 12344 H 29900 2/3 8PSK 23.5 E.
climb on the roof and started the Enigma Signalmeter app on my phone. Connected with my Mutant and switched to that channel i aligned my disc with it. it took me almost
1 1/2 hour coming to that result, and now u say it's set to 19.2E . So than, how should i adjust to 23.5E . I thought i did.

Big update. start all over with aligning the disc. Seems to work. did a scan with the mutant hd51 and found a lot more channels exept the dutch ones
So i digged up my even more older DB sunray sr4 with triple tuner and that one gave me some results . Found the fta channel TV Drenthe and a lot more

and from there i used my enigma signalmeter app to improve the snr signal etc. So now the box is scanning and i noticed a lot of channels even the dutch ones
So let's hope it will solve the problem.
But then again .Why did the newer box mutant didn't find them, is it a weaker box or tuner? ( i noticed the SNR = 75 and AGC = 0) on hd51 and SNR = 89 and AGC = 100 on SR4) I already bought a new LNB. Could it be the tuner that is faulty???
if i copy the satelites.xml + channellist from the DB SR4 to the mutant will it work??
A lot of questions i know , but i just want it to work again...

Okay, finaly finished scanning. 1900+ channels found. after zapping a few channels i noticed to have only sound, no screen. let's try a reboot. if that don't work i Copy the files to a usb and move them over to the Mutant.
After reboot i had a visual Happy me... it 's working on the SR4...

Before i copy dir etc/ tuxbox and enigma2 to mutant, i first try to scan again becuz i finetuned the disc with the SR4. (Result..it gave me 1834 channels +/- 80 less channels.
So now i start copying the maps... correction... copy only the file userbouquet.LastScanned.tv and the Satelites.xml . (should i copy more files)? hmm did not work all channels (N/A) .

Any ideas?
