Dreambox streaming to internet,it was never easy like this

streaming dreambox channels to internet in 6 steps

1- Install the program from the link below.
2-Create and update dynamic dns address.
3-Open and forward port 1234 to your computer IP.
4- Fill created dynamic dns address and choose your. internet speed from settings.
5- Hit start streaming from the program.
6- Take the appearing internet address and use it with. windows media player and enjoy your dreambox anywhere.

Note: For better internet streaming form enigma 1 dreambox i advice pli-jade image

not essential to open port 80 to run the program
however nobody can access your db if your db protected by password(better not dreambox)

Sorry,the program is designed for windows and tell now no other software do streaming to internet for linux
You choose connection speed according to which you have
from program settings you have three choices and there is question mark beside to know your connection speed

Could you plz explain how the restream function works? I just got a new Vista machine and from my old XP pro it was no problem with streamin. But now I can't even watch "Web-X-TV"....from my Dreambox.

PS! I should be able to log to my DB using my
DNS-account.org:1234, but it's not working. I know my account is active and I have open the ports in my router. Could it be a firewall problem or Vista problem?

streaming from program through port 1234
dns-account.org:1234 ony used to receive stream from the program and not to log to dreambox.
to log to your dreambox remotely,forward port 80 to dreambox ip and use dns-account.org:80 to log to your dream remotely
in vista it is more difficult to do jop because it has hard security rules but you need to check your dns is active and ports are forwarded correctly

The program does streaming without difficulty and the difficult things are portforwading and assigning dns address
you should be certain that the second stage of streaming(port forwarding and dns address) is managed properly

you can test it there streaming or not by right bottom preview buttons while streaming
lower preview button:for local streaming and if you see the video in the preview window that means that stream forwarding to port 1234 is good else there is error in 1234 portforwading
Upper preview button: for internet streaming and if you see the video in preview thats mean dns is active and portforwarding is ok,else one of them is wrong

if preview test is ok then you can take stream internet address and put it in windows media player-files-enter url
thats all

I have been playing around with this streaming thing and this is what I did to make it work.

The program mentioned at the begining is an old version the latest I could find is 7.1.

I am using a dm800hd with the latest openpli image on it. my internet speeds are 8 down and 0.8 up.

First job was make sure you can stream to your pc from db. you will need to install vlc.
open firefox type in the ip of your dm 192.168.05 example
click on a little tv next to a channel it will ask you what program you want to open select vlc. you should now be streaming to your pc.
do a search for the ts streaming program v7.1 install.
you need to know your external Ip go to fire fox type whats my ip
put that in the box provided fill in the dreambox details.
Open ports in your router (1234) and enter the ip of your pc
you can check your port 1234 (Can be any Port) select qaulity and save
select channel and then open stream
to check if its working open another instance of vlc and from the menu play stream enter your external ip example http://231.23.17.2:1234 the press play
1234 is the port in your router that you told to send to your pc
