dreambox 800 hd se clone ferarri

evening just made a bad mistake my dreambox was running a old image of blackhole and it asked if i wanted to do a software update i said yes and after it had finished it said fatal error and crashed

power on comes up with a picture on the screen of a dreambox 800 bar graph goes half way across then stops tv sayes no signal and only blue power lamp on

tried to use ferrari filler to do new image it gives ip adress on front but pc wont talk flashed image with usb lead but after 50 mins of waiting desided it wasnt working any ideas tried dcc for ip seach nothing found

Use both null and Ethernet cable together if that's not what you have tried.

you know what is wrong? your bootloader is damaged and you need to get that settled first. there are some bootloader repair tools that can help you out. after the repair you can install the image back in. just take an image that conforms to your bootloader.

thanks for that been playing with deam box for years but being honest not sure what i need to rescue this i will look for bootloader tools if you can point me in more off a direction would be very greatfull

thoanks for the reply i did try that do you agree its a bootlader fault and does he me software if so any idea how to get round it

If it was bootloader I suspect it would not boot as far as your saying it does, could be hardware related.

You still need to fix the issue regarding not been able to flash it though.

Sometimes when you can part boot and it wont complete its a hardware fault with the tuner, you could take the tuner out and see if it will boot then.
