Dreambox 500S connect to computer with rs232 (serial cable) and setup

hello
i have a dreambox 500s with gemini image installed (and ccam)
i would like to enter to the system and backup and make same changes if possible add new services etc (i have a serial cable rs232)

how can i start what software i need


is it possible to see the sky italia and how to install (the dish is directed towards hotbird)

you have to use ;
-coreftp lite for connection to dreambox via internet:editing softcam......etc
-enigmaedit for editing channels via internet
-cam-editor for editing server sharing via internet
-Ngrab to register in your computer via internet
-dreamup for backup image with rs 232 only

to setup the dreambox by rs232 (enter new keys,) what program should use,
and is it possible to install an add on when i get the msg disk size to small

the add on was installed before and it was ok now i deleted add-ons and i cannot install it again?

you should use ethernet cable between your dream and pc to put new keys <ethernet cross patch > with dcc <dream control center>

or any other ftp program filezilla or total comander .

howto :

host = dreambox ip eg 192.168.0.10

session = ( the name you call the connection ) eg My dreambox

user = root ( default )

password = dreambox ( default )

in network settings on dreambox use the same netmask in dreambox

to recover space from deleted addons is there a directory (trash can-recycle bin in computers or temporary old unsed files)
to delete/clear so can download and install the deleted aplications (addon)

Can you connect to it via DreamUP if not that sound like a mobo fault.

You could try another power suppy.
