DM800HD SE Tuner empty

Hi guys,

I am very new to Dreambox in general so I have to call for help here.

I've got a DM800HD SE clone box but had some problems with it. I wanted to update it zso installed a Bootloader #84. Then I installed many, but I mean like many different images on the dreambox but mainly OpenPLI and now I've got OpenATV. There is only one problem. It keeps saying
Tuner A: empty
Nothing
Tuner B: empty
Nothing

Am I installing something wrong? Or is there something I do not know yet?

First thing to do is take the lid off and make sure the tuner is pushed fully home in its slot and then try a reboot to see if the tuner shows.

When an image shows tuner a and b this can also be a driver problem so while you have the lid off take a look at the sim card to see whos it is. Sim2 Ferrari etc.

Hi Ferret,

I've successfully updated to OpenPLI 4.0 thanks to your hint to look at the Sim card. It was an Estar v3.0. I was installing a Ferrari. Didn't work So thanks for that! :thum:

But I've ran in to a different problem, my tuner now does get detected and put in the right place. But I can't still see any channels.
It's not giving any error or something, the SNR is 80% and AGC 20% and BNR 0. But I just see a black screen in front of me.

I don't understand how to re-setup my dish. It's one with a rotor but I don't understand if and how I should use USALS.

Could you help me a little further?

Scroll to the bottom and enter your coordinates and that should be that.

Done, still no 'picture'. Just a black screen.

If your sure the coordinates are correct it could be dish alignment. Double check your coordinates

Mmh, changed coordinates but 'Predifined Transponder' is now both 0%. And user defined transponder is still 80% & 20%. How do I select and save the Transponder?

But still no picture.

About Dish Alignment, I didn't change it but it is one with a rotor. Can't it auto align?

Why not install a channel list and see if you clear channels that way. The predifined transponders will be old on that image.

You need to select scan on the user defined transponder it then scans and saves what it finds.

I now see the EPG, 13.3 DB and 23.5E. But the screen is still black...

I don't know how to see this, sorry. Could you explain it?
As I said I'm fairly new to DreamBox.


EDIT: Found it! Sorry, yeah FTA channels work. But the ones I want to watch don't haha.
