DM8000 and DVD question

I'm contemplating buying a DM8000. Perhaps. And perhaps with DVD R/W.

Can anybody confirm whether the original OS, or any images, come with libdvdcss3?

Also, what is the performance of the DVD player like? I wasted months earlier this year with a so-called Media Player, trying to get my test DVD (train going left to right across the screen) to play without stuttering. Is playing DVDs best left to a 15 quid machine from Argos?

i use the nabilsat image and it plays dvds so i guess libdvdcss is included. performance is ok but it´s damned loud. you´re probably better off with a stand alone dvd player.
