Dm500s Strange Lan Problem

Hi mates.

I have a dreambox 500s with a strange problem.

Lan card is not working as it should. The box is not communicating at all.

In my router i see the light of the lan port to be on for 2 seconds and then off for 2 seconds, and then this thing again.

In dhcp the box dont receive ip, and if i configure the ip manually the box wont communicate.

I have tried to reflash with no success.

Does anyone have any idea??

One more thing, the 2 lights of the lan card inside the dreambox stays always on without flashing.

i have seen this problem lots of times with used 500s it will cost just as much to get it fixed as it would to buy a new box

if you google it you should find plenty it was a common fault

i had a similiar problem with a box,the pins for the nic on the dm500 were bent i managed to straighten them using a needle and got the box working have never removed the rj45 cable from it..
