I have a DM 800 HD SE setup and working nicely.

However I'm now looking to setup a DLNA server / network through the house (audio and video in multiroom) and wonder whether anyone had configure a Dreambox for this purpose?

Any help or alternative suggestions, welcome.

Your dreambox can already do this with the Enigma web interface.
To stream to a PC (linux, windows, freeBSD, Mac) open a we browser and point to the IP address of the dreambox
e.g. 192.168.1.24

The browser allows you to watch any channel or stream any file on the hard drive.

If your TV has a LAN connection the same applies.

Hi,

I have a Dreambox 500HD, and I am also looking to setup a DLNA server on it.

Is this posible? Simple web interface is working for me, because, I want to attach a HDD to a Dreambox and watch a movie through a bluray player that only supports DLNA protocol. Bluray player does not have a web browser.

Thank You

Install Djmount and also the upnp plugin on your enigma2 STB!
It will allow you to access your files saved on a dlna enabled device such as a PC running Twonkey, PS3 mediaserver or Serviio!

Hi EsRgood4u,

Thank you for your reply. I am actually trying to eliminate PC completely. I currently use PC as storage and Dreambox accesses to it with simple CIFS mount. That is not the problem.

What I want to do is connect e-sata HDD to Dreambox directly. Now there are some formats that Dreambox cannot play. Like WMV. I would like to play those files with Yamaha bluray player, but I don't want to disconnect HDD from Dreambox and connect it to Yamaha. I want to play it over LAN network. And Yamaha will only see DLNA devices. That's why I need Dreambox to work as DLNA device.

Is this posible?

Thank You
