diseqc 1.2 motor setup dreambox dm800

Does anyone have a link or could tell me how to set up a diseqc motor on a dm800 please. If anyone knows of an idiots guide that would be great as I have never done this before.

So you don t have usuals ?

If not

Menu-setup-service searching tuner config

In there you need to select the advanced option and then select a lnb and youll see all the option come up including the diseqc 1.2 option.

I have a DM800 HD which is using a oozoon image.


how do you setup usuals?

If you select the other option it as you says has an option for diseqc 1.2 do I then enter my latitude and longitude?

I would like to set it up for about 6 satellites so do you just change the LNB number like have 1,2,3,4,5,6?

Saying you are watching sky uk and what to watch sky Italy, if you select a sky Italy channel will the dish automatically move?

Simple
Positioner

And then at the bottom enter your coordinates.

If that works and your motor is compatible with usuals then you don't nee to do anything else.

I have done that and the motor is moving, I moved it to sky UK and aligned the dish to this sat but when I moved the dish to other sats I get no signal. What do I have to do to fix this?

Its a dish motor alignment issue, could be the motor elevation dish declination any of those.

Look at the documentation for your motor and dish and set the correct values for your area.

Thank you for your advice I do not have any documentation for the motor it is an old one (weighs a fair bit).

It does this one every sat I move the dish to 13E and get a signal after playing about with the dish and motor go back to 19E and have know signal.

Do you have any ideas of anything I can try to get this working properly.

you need to add all sats you want to view to your tuner first, then just select LNB1 choose diseqc 1.2 use usals for this = no scroll down and save 001 and so on for each sat.then move your dish manually to each sat when you get a lock and a good signal store each sat to match your motor list ie my 42e is postion 001 so when I get a lock on it I store it to postion 1,39e is 002 so I store that to 2 etc etc! start east then keep moving west manually and storing the sats as you go,this way your moving the dish west manually all the time

here is my motor setup postions I store them to the same number when I hit them

Thank you for the guide if I do it this way when the dish is moving would the elevation also change? as that seems to be the problem I am having is the elevation changes when the dish moves.

you should get an installer to come and align it if you don't have a meter yourself

Thanks for the reply after playing around with the motor I can now get sky 28.2 and sky Germany 19.0 but when it moves to 13.0 I get know signal.
