The summer season is over for football and the world's major leagues are about to start, with DirecTV Sports covering the tournaments of Spain, England, France, Germany and Portugal from the first kick-off.

The cable network will offer over 750 official matches during the 2014-2015 season, including the Spanish Supercopa between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, Spain's Copa del Rey and the German and French cups.

Messi, Ronaldo, Suárez, Ibrahimovic and Costa are back in the most exigent competition which will be shown on DirecTV, both through cable and satellite and online via DirecTV Play. In addition to the live matches, the network will complement the games with analysis and debate programmes before and after the matches.

Through DirecTV's six sports signals, three of which are HD, each weekend the channel will offer eight games from the Premier League, seven from La Liga, two from Ligue 1, another two from the Bundesliga and one from Portuguese tournament.

The number of matches will be lower through the online player, offering only the Premier League, three matches of La Liga and the Bundesliga.

DirecTV's focus on the major European competitions in August kicks off with France's Ligue 1 and ends with the Bundesliga (22 August) and La Liga (23 August).
