CTC Media revises growth forecast
07.39 Europe/London, September 13, 2011 By Chris Dziadul

The Russian commercial broadcaster CTC Media has revised its full year total revenue growth forecast for 2011.

In a statement, it says it has reduced the figure from 20% to approximately 15% year-on-year in rouble terms, when adjusting the 2010 revenues to exclude commissions payable to Video International for direct sales of CTC Media advertising inventory in that year.

However, CTC Media still expects to meet its OIBDA forecast of between 34% and 36% for 2011, which is equivalent to between 38% and 40% under the terms of the ad sale structure in place prior to 2011.

CTC Media says the revised revenue forecast is due to the lower than anticipated audience share of the CTC channel and the effect it will have advertising inventory.

CTC Media, which lists MTG as its largest shareholder, operates the channel CTC, Domashny and DTV in Russia, as well as Channel 31 in Kazakhstan and TV company in Moldova.
