Com Hem chooses Harmonic

Swedish cable operator Com Hem has chosen Harmonic to provide its NSG 9000 HectoQAM Edge QAM device to support its high-speed data and video-on-demand services. Com Hem is launching a new multiscreen service based on TiVo’s technology platform.
“The capability to support data, VOD, and multiscreen services is key, as today’s subscribers expect a high-quality multimedia experience on any connected device,” said Jens Persson, R&D manager, Com Hem. “The scalability and flexibility offered by Harmonic’s edgeQAM solutions enable Com Hem to efficiently deliver a wide range of compelling services, including traditional TV, VOD, and over-the-top content and applications optimized for every screen.”
